Operations and Supply Chain Diploma Track

140 contact hours · 24 weeks · RM 3,450

Part-time track for staff in production, procurement, or distribution. Modules cover demand planning, inventory policy, supplier management, quality systems, warehouse and transport economics, and continuous improvement.

Every programme lists contact hours, cohort size, assessment weightings, and entry assumptions before enrolment. No surprises after you have committed time and budget.

Workplace projects, not papers

Assessment on the diploma track is a documented improvement project from your own workplace, judged against a published rubric and presented to a faculty panel.

Small cohorts

The management accounting course runs with at most twenty participants. Discussion quality depends on preparation, not numbers; smaller groups hold each participant to a higher standard.

Site visits to operating companies

Diploma track participants visit three host companies in Johor. Seeing a real warehouse or production line shifts how participants read case studies for the rest of the programme.

One company, one handbook

The Executive Working Group produces a written operating handbook specific to the participating company — not a generic framework, but a document that records decisions taken during the programme.

Based in Johor

Programmes run from Skudai. Case material draws on manufacturing, logistics, and trade contexts common in southern Peninsular Malaysia, rather than examples built for other markets.

What participants usually ask before enrolment

Who are these programmes designed for? +
The management accounting course is for managers who are asked to read or defend financial reports but have no accounting background — finance, IT, operations, or general management staff who encounter a management pack regularly. The diploma track is for people working in operations, procurement, or distribution who have at least two years of direct experience. The executive programme is for the senior leadership team of a single company.
When do the next cohorts start? +
Cohort dates are set each quarter. Contact us directly to receive the schedule for the current period and to check whether places remain open. We do not publish fixed dates on this page because cohorts sometimes fill before a new date is confirmed.
Is the management accounting course relevant if I am not in a finance role? +
Yes, and that is its intended audience. The course covers management reporting practice — the kind of information that appears in an internal monthly pack — rather than statutory accounting. It assumes no accounting background but does assume you are comfortable navigating a spreadsheet. It does not cover taxation, statutory filing, or anything that requires a qualified accountant.
How is the diploma track assessed? +
Each participant completes a workplace improvement project — a documented proposal addressing a real operational issue in their own company. The project is assessed against a published rubric and presented to a faculty panel. The rubric is shared at the start of the programme so there are no assessment surprises near the end.
What does the Executive Working Group programme cost and what does it include? +
The programme is priced at RM 4,600 and covers twelve months. Included: a diagnostic review of your operating processes, sixty contact hours of teaching across strategy execution, operations, and organisational design, monthly facilitated sessions on live operational questions, quarterly written reviews, a written operating handbook, and a closing session with the board or ownership group. Financial, legal, and taxation matters are outside scope.
How do I know if a programme is the right fit before committing? +
Contact us and ask what you want to know. We will tell you what each programme covers and does not cover, the entry assumptions, the format, and the assessment approach. If a programme is not the right match for your background or objectives, we will say so rather than enrol you and deal with that problem later.

Preparation expectations

Management accounting course: 2 hrs preparation per session. Diploma track: 3–4 hrs per week outside contact time, including case reading and workplace project work. Discussion is part of assessment — unprepared participants affect the group.
